Professional Staff of the Quarter
The Foundation is happy to be able to provide a cash award on behalf of the citizens of the City of Lynchburg to the Professional Staff of the Quarter: Teresa Hogan.
“Teresa Hogan is being recognized as Lynchburg Police Department’s (LPD) Professional Staff of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2023 for her work ethic and dedication to our department and community.
As a member of the Property and Evidence Unit, Teresa is tasked with handling, organizing, storing, and purging hundreds of items of evidence and property on a daily basis. She was recently managing several property items that included a custom pool stick and accessories with very little information.
Upon further examination of the items, a name was discovered on one of the smaller accessories. Teresa set aside non-pressing tasks and immediately began researching the name. Utilizing a variety of resources, she determined the owner was a previous college student from the area. Through her persistence, Teresa was able to contact the owner who now resides out of state. She then coordinated to return these valuable items to the owner.
This is just one example of the extra effort Teresa gives on a daily basis.”
