Officer of the Month
The Foundation is happy to be able to provide a cash award on behalf of the citizens of the City of Lynchburg to the Officer of the Month: Sergeant Fink.
“Sergeant Fink was meeting another officer for a meal break when he heard yelling from an adjacent parking lot. Sergeant Fink discovered an unconscious person with no pulse. He immediately removed the person from the vehicle and began chest compressions. While performing CPR, he radioed for medical assistance and the nearest field unit for Narcan support. The Lynchburg Fire Department arrived and transported the individual to the hospital.
Sergeant Fink is being commended for saving the life of an unconscious person by quickly acting, performing CPR, and coordinating medical assistance. ”
